Specializing in Musculoskeletal Disorders of the Spine and Extremities
The Center for Orthopedic Physical Therapy was an independently and locally owned business established in 2003. The therapist owned clinic provided one on one, hands-on, cost-effective care for the spine and the extremities. As the name implies, therapists evaluated and treated backs, necks, torsos, shoulders, hips, elbows, wrists, hands, knees, ankles and feet. They also improved posture and had programs that treated osteoporosis and sports related injuries. They were experts in finding the cause of musculoskeletal pain and prescribing self care activities to speed recovery and used proven treatment methods endorsed and used by the leading therapists of the physical therapy profession. The practice location of 110 Executive Park, Asheville, North Carolina 28801 closed on August 12, 2016. The company may be dissolved but the same level of care that the company provided continues. In early 2017, John McCollum, PT, MTC the founder of the company will continue his specialty in a solo cash based practice 2 days a week in East Asheville.
